What is happening in Egypt is not just a revolution. It is the result of socio-cultural change that has been in motion for longer than the 30 years reign of Mobarak. This change has been amplified by the development of social media like Twitter, Facebook, and Blogs. The Jasmin Revolution in Tunisia, an apparently uncoordinated and unanticipated mass action, represents the first explosion of change, sending a wave of hope throughout the Arab nations and a corresponding wave of fear among the rulers of those nations.
